N.O.M & Kin Kin

Everyday - July 24, 2014

Had an impromptu meetup with Min after she finished her driving lesson, and decided to go visit N.O.M – No Other Meaning over at Macpherson Community Center. Took a bus down to the cafe. The place was so quaint and quiet, it’s a great place to just chill and talk and stare out the window.
Of course, we went there for their famous rainbow cake on a wooden pan / slab thingy. I thought the presentation was really pretty! Definitely a photo-worthy cake. They have the cake in 3 flavours, Chocolate, Salted Caramel and Oreo, but when we were there, only the Oreo flavoured one was available. This slice of cake costed $7.90. I think it’s a good portion for 3 people to share.

We ordered the All Day Breakfast Rosti set and the sweet potato fries to share. The sweet potato fries was super good, omg. It was crisp and fragrant when they first served it! But of course, after all the photo taking, it started to lose heat, but overall still yummy! I love it. I think the price in N.O.M is reasonable, the sweet potato fries were $5.90, and their iced latte’s $3.90!

Chilled in N.O.M for a good hour plus or so over small talks and rants about life. We then decided since we’re in Macpherson, we’d head to Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee for dinner! We walked our way to the bus stop, which was a little hard to find, or maybe because we’re bad at directions. HAHA.

So glad there wasn’t a queue when we arrived, we ordered and the orders came quite quickly! We ordered the $5 signature noodles (dry). The portion’s good. Came with 3 meatballs and a runny egg and a meat sauce which was yummy! I think the runny egg made it nicer. hehe. Added in their signature dried chilli paste that they had on the side and omg, it made the noodles taste so good!!!! The chilli brought out a certain fragrance and i love it! Yum Yum Yum.

It was a good day!
