Lunch with a few lovely people (Oli, Rach & Jerm) last thursday and it was great! What supposedly was a lunch date, turned out to be a day of walking.
We had lunch over at people’s park before heading to go get some wood for Oli’s project. For $3 a portion of Hakka Yong Tau Foo, it was yummy! Turns out the “wood place” didn’t have what Oli was looking for, so we ended up walking back towards Tanjong Pagar, and decided we should have a coffee break!
Coffee break over at The Plain.
Then we headed over to this pretty cool pop up place in Chinatown (which required alot of walking, climbing of stairs and getting into a lift that was really small, it’s pretty claustrophobic hahaha) that featured an urban garden filled with edible plants, hence the name, Edible Gardens.
They also had a concept store, exhibiting different craft works. Some of which were really beautiful!
And if you walked out, there was this area that made a pretty good photo spot because it had perfect lighting, and it was kinda hipster-ish.
I love how the whole pop up thing was on the roof of the building. I’ve never been up there, so standing atop the building was, nice.
After the visit, we took a bus to Bras Basar for Art Friend! And of course, Oli introduced us to the “Standing Sushi Bar” where they were having a promotion for thursdays where Sashimi was going at $3 per 5 slices. Ate a satisfying dinner of 15 slices of sashimi each and walked towards town to get Koi and Art Friend over at Taka.
Oh how i love impromptu days like these. Luckily i brought my camera out 😉
